Class ACT is affiliated with Anacortes Community Theatre, and is aimed at providing the community with education in the theatre arts, both on and off stage.
Looking for something new and interesting? Come experience Cold Cuts: A Night of New Works. Come see portions of 5 brand new plays written by local adult writers and give your feedback. Friday night the authors will have actors present a staged reading of a portion of their play. The audience will have the opportunity to give feedback on the play. Then, Saturday the authors will give their actors revised version of a script base on Friday night's comments! Featured plays: Spaghetti Western by Nello Bottari, We're Not Getting Paid Enough for This by Willow McLaughlin, I Hate Musicals! by Amanda McCartney, Singing Doctor by Bob Wall and Fruitcake by Mellisa Bridges.
The Kindergarten - 2nd grade class has been working for 6 weeks on a collection of Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories. Join on us on our Second Stage to see a fun filled performance that includes How The Camel Got His Hump, How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin, and How The Leopard Got His Spots. Admission is free.
The 3rd - 6th grade class presents the original production The Best Play Ever Written About A Lizard. Skeech is a lizard who loves to read. Discouraged by the lack of books featuring a lizard as the hero, Skeech sets out with his friend Chatty The Monkey to star in a story all his own. During his great adventure he meets a wide variety of characters including an abonimable snowman and a bad tempered wizard. Join us in this full production including fun costumes and makeup on ACT's Second Stage. Admission is free.
