Love and Death In Shakespeare
An acting class and comedic/ dramatic production

Performances: March 1st and 2nd at 7 pm

Who doesn’t love a funny monologue and a good death scene? In order to learn about the excellent wit and fabulous characterization of William Shakespeare, students in this class will get to perform monologues about love and death scenes from his most famous comedies and tragedies. The class starts with the experience of auditioning and continues with the creation of a character, memorization of lines and a full performance with costumes and makeup. All students will receive a major role int his show the is performed for the public on March 1st and 2nd at 7 pm.

Sam Guzik is 6th grade teacher at Anacortes Middle School, and was previously a 6th grade teacher at Fidalgo Elementary School. He has taught classes for the Class ACT program for the past three years, including the 7th -12th grade dramatic acting class, “The Testing Point”.
