What is Anacortes Community Theatre?

Anacortes Community Theatre (ACT) is the undisputed #1 community theatre in Skagit County.

ACT is not a repertory, regional or private theatre organization -- anyone can be a part of ACT -- we are a true community theatre!

ACT is the only wholly-owned theatre building in Skagit County -- all our theatre performances are on our property--we are a true home for community theatre!

ACT's Mission Statement: (from the ACT By-Laws)

Anacortes Community Theater (ACT) is a non-profit public corporation dedicated to promoting and producing live theater.

ACT is also committed to working with children and youth, providing opportunities for encouraging and developing their artistic talents in drama and stagecraft.

Since 1964, ACT has served the community in many and various ways.

With our annual Season of six Main Stage productions, Class ACT, Fringe, Second Stage and many other theatre-based community events and programs, ACT reaches over 10,000 people annually.
